We are the OFFICIAL NYC chapter of Women's March (Women’s March NYC or WMNYC) — part of the national & global movement. WMNYC is engaged in direct action year round with rooted partnerships to local organizations that align with our unity principles and pride ourselves on centering the voices of black and brown women in all of our work.


WMNYC held the third annual Women’s March in New York City as a Women’s Unity Rally with Co-Chair New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) on Saturday January 19th at Foley Square! The Women’s Unity Rally was truly amazing and presented speakers from grassroots to labor to celebrities and artists to elected officials. At the Rally WMNYC was blessed to have DJ Taela Naomi, Agunda Okeyo (WMNYC), Saima Anjam (NYIC), Girl Be Heard (Kim Sykes with two youth performers , Girls for Gender Equity (Joanne Smith), UNITEHERE Local 100 (Margarita Vazuez), JVP-NYC (Ros Petchesky & Esther Farmer), Christine Lahti, NYC First Lady Chirlane McCray, Resistance Revival Chorus, SEIU 32BJ (Michel Oviedo), NYC Stripper Strike (Gizelle Marie), Extinction Rebellion NYC (Christina See & Chelsea MacMillan), NYSNA (Judy Sheridan-Gonzalez), Alliance for Quality Education (Zakiyah Ansari), Staceyann Chin, MAKU Soundsystem, Gloria Steinem, The Women’s Building (Yasmeen Hassan & Pamela Shifman), National Domestic Workers Alliance (Daniela Contreras), JFREJ (Autumn Leonard), AAANY (Reem Ramadan ), SEIU 1199 (Estela Vasquez), & Rep.
